Concentrated knowledge at opti: Hall C4

It’s more than just a place for visitors to find exciting new innovations for their product ranges and spruce up their businesses — it’s also a chance to brush up on their own knowledge. In Hall C4 at opti, which will take place from 10 – 12 January 2020 on the Fairground Munich, visitors can enjoy a comprehensive selection of training courses — free of charge.




Follow us! In January 2020 opti is once again inviting eyewear and lifestyle bloggers from across Europe to Munich. Looking for the most exciting new products and the hottest insider news, the bloggers will be reporting live and around the clock from the halls of the trade fair. In a Trendtalk they will be discussing why every product is suitable for social media. The BLOGGER SPECTACLE award ceremony for the participants of the opti BOXES will take place on Saturday at 12:30 pm in the opti FORUM..



opti SHOWCASE 2020: Company positioning

What makes me special? Which strengths can I impress my customers with? How can I align the look and feel of my business with my positioning? The opti SHOWCASE, taking place as part of opti in Munich from 10-12 January 2020 in hall C4, will take a closer look at these kinds of questions.



Focus on contact lenses

Technical innovations in terms of contact lens material or performance: At opti, taking place from 10 to 12 January 2020 at the Fairground Munich, trade visitors can discover all of the new developments on the market. Hall C6, which serves as the entrance to opti 2020 and can be reached through the Entrance North-West, will accommodate 25 exhibitors focusing on the topic of contact lenses and contact lens supplies.



The right framework for a premiere: These companies are debuting at opti 2020

Style icons, glasses with character, or high-performance spectacle lenses: At opti, which takes place from 10 to 12 January 2020 at the Fairground Munich, exhibitors will be presenting the industry trends for the upcoming year. Some providers are making their very first appearance and presenting their latest products exclusively to trade visitors. We’re giving you a sneak peek and taking a closer look at the frames and spectacle lenses made by companies from Germany, Italy, the UK, and the USA.



A stage of 60,000 square meters

There are five months left until opti takes place in Munich from 10 to 12 January 2020. Ticket sales begin and the halls are filling up – a summer update interview with opti project manager Bettina Reiter.



One trade show, all the facts: opti is the perfect start

opti marks the start of a new year for the optical industry. The next International Trade Show for Optics & Design will take place from 10th to 12th January 2020 at Fairground Munich, once again spanning six halls – and the offering for trade visitors to opti 2020 remains one thing above all else: comprehensive.




Journalists can accredit on site at our press counters in Entrance Northeast or Entrance Northwest upon presentation of:

  • your valid press card and the imprint (editorial staff) or
  • a recent article showing your name

Please note our accreditation guidelines. Press tickets do not include free use of public transportation (MVV).

For pre-accreditation please send an e-mail to and order your opti press badge. You'll receive it in time before opti by e-mail.

Press lounge

The Press Lounge is located in Hall C6 in 2020! Access via Northeast entrance.

Please leave your wardrobe and luggage at the cloakrooms in the entrance areas for free storage. Please present your press ticket for opti 2020 there. For space and security reasons, storage in the Press Lounge is not permitted!

Press parking

Free parking spaces are available for the press in parking areas P7 and P8 at the Northeast entrance. An official press pass for 2019 or 2020 must be presented at the entrance.

Free parking is also available in the multi-storey car park at the Northwest entrance. Accredited journalists will receive a free exit ticket for the multi-storey car park at the press accreditation desk (Northwest entrance, ground floor) when handing in their entry ticket.

Radio production service

We offer a range of broadcast materials for your use and transmission, from radio-edited reports to voice contributions from the organisers and news items - all exempt from fees or royalties.
