Munich city centre is a low emission zone and the entire area within the Mittlerer Ring may only be entered with a valid green fine dust sticker. The centre ring road itself is not part of the low emission zone.

Messe München is located outside this zone.

You do not need an environmental badge to visit the trade show centre. If you plan to visit the city afterwards or stay overnight in the city area, you will need a fine particle sticker for your vehicle.

The environmental sticker is available from all vehicle registration offices as well as from TÜV and DEKRA.

Lorry transit ban in Munich

In Munich, a transit ban for lorries over 3.5 t applies as part of the Clean Air Action Plan. Through lorry traffic is diverted to the A99 motorway. The diversion and diversions will be signposted in the surrounding area and in the city as well as with diversions signs to the nearest motorway.

Delivery traffic with destination or source in Munich is expressly excluded from the driving ban. This means that deliveries to and from the exhibition centre are not affected by the driving ban. However, lorries with a destination outside Munich are not allowed to drive on the A94 towards Munich when leaving the exhibition centre, as this would turn them into transit traffic.

The best way to reach opti from Munich Airport is by airport shuttle bus! You can also get to the Munich exhibition centre by S-Bahn, U-Bahn and taxi.
