Visa Information

Citizens of EU member states generally do not require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. All other participants require a visa without restriction.

In addition to the documents required by the respective embassy or consulate, all visitors who require a visa also need the following documents for their visa application:

  • a confirmed travel booking (hotel, flight, bus or train booking) 
  • proof of health insurance and 
  • proof of purchase of your ticket to opti (copy of the online ticket) 

You will therefore be asked to purchase an online ticket first. This will also save you time and money.
