Beeks Oog en Oor crowned Entrepreneur of the Year
The renovation of Beeks Oog & Oor has been a success: they are now nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year, marking a truly special and remarkable milestone!
For Beeks Oog & Oor, we had the opportunity to design and implement this optical store interior! About ten years ago, we had renovated Michael Beeks’ previous branch, so communication was naturally very smooth. We were involved in the planning process from the very beginning. The question was: stay and expand a bit, or take the big step and relocate? After a joint analysis, the decision was quickly made: a completely new store interior with significantly more space and height.
Atmosphere and Space Perfectly Balanced
The goal was to create an international atmosphere without losing the approachable, local touch. Upon entering, the sense of calm and spaciousness is immediately noticeable, especially thanks to the impressive ceiling height. Warm materials like leather, linen, fur, travertine, and abundant greenery give the store a pleasant, almost zen-like ambiance. On the ground floor, glasses are displayed, and customers can wait, enjoy a coffee, or have their eyes tested. There are also two rooms for hearing tests and even a self-test area where customers can quickly and easily check their hearing. Upstairs are office spaces, a workshop (overlooking the sales area!), and a cafeteria.
An Eyewear Store with Calm and Efficiency
This optical store interior combines functionality with experience, allowing both customers and staff to fully enjoy the space. It could be described as an eyewear emporium, but with a calm and relaxed atmosphere for customers. The benefits aren’t just for visitors, employees are thrilled as well. Thanks to clever spatial planning and efficiency, working here is even more enjoyable. Children are also considered: they can pick up their new glasses in a special kids’ corner, where the glasses are lowered from the ceiling using a pulley system. All in all, a fantastic store that is more than future-proof. Here’s to many successful years, Michael!
