Since 1953, we have been crafting handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces from cellulose acetate in every shape, color, and size. Since 2022, we have also been creating unique pieces from recycled acetate—discover "realcycle by Wissing" at OPTI 2024.
That’s what we stand for at Wissing®! Since 1953 we have been producing handmade unique pieces made of cellulose acetate in every shape, every color and every size. We do not see ourselves as a simple eyewear manufacturer, but as an eyewear manufactory: We value uniqueness, special colors, best quality and are committed to the tradition of classic craftsmanship. Our frames are 100% handmade in Bensheim, Germany and can now be found in optical stores in about 30 countries. Due to our focus on handcrafting we are able to produce for each customer his very individual dream piece: Any model in any color and any size. This sets us aside from almost all eyewear manufacturers in the world.
