PUSCON is a biocompatible and safe material which is used with PCMLC technology.

PCMLC technology is that the color pigments which have been approved by the FDA are embedded between two thin layers of PC (phosphorylcholine), which is used as the polymer-based coating of a Drug-eluting stents because its molecular design improves surface biocompatibility and lowers the risk of causing inflammation or thrombosis for patients with coronary artery disease.

Unlike Silicon contact lenses, PUSCON has a safety feature that should be present when applying to a medical device, therefore, it is safe without side effects even for sensitive eyes.

PUSCON is made of water-friendly hydrophilic forming a solid moisture barrier on the surface of the contact lens which prevents evaporation and provides moisture.

The moisture barrier of PUSCON helps to keep the lens surface clean by reducing contaminants and protein retention.
