Munich, 11 December 2025 – opti 2026 places two forward-looking experiential formats at the heart of the industry’s growth drivers: TOMORROW VISION as an innovation platform for contact lenses, and opti SPHEARE as a new centre of excellence for hearing acoustics. Both formats represent new business opportunities, hands-on knowledge transfer and the consistent advancement of optometry and hearing care.

TOMORROW VISION: Contact Lenses – Play smart. Move free.

In Hall C4, TOMORROW VISION 2026 sends a clear message about the economic and strategic importance of the contact lens market. Following the motto “Play smart. Move free.”, leading manufacturers will present new products and concepts that will bring the contact lens to life as a flexible, modern vision solution – with a strong focus on professional consulting and practical application.

Participants include ALCON, Bausch + Lomb, CooperVision, HECHT Contactlinsen, Mark’ennovy, Menicon GmbH, MPG&E and the SEED Group (Wöhlk, Ultravision, Sensimed). The platform demonstrates how contact lenses open up new possibilities in everyday life and in sport, while at the same time strengthening the potential for sustainable revenue growth in specialist retail.

In 2026, the TOMORROW VISION stage will therefore become a sporty action zone for performance and dynamism. Business psychologist and host Claudia Bechstein will guide visitors through a high-energy programme featuring live talks, expert insights and impressive show acts. On Friday, a spectacular basketball dunk performance with choreographed jumps and shooting combinations will deliver standout moments, while on Saturday and Sunday the Munich Cheerleader Allstars of FC Bayern Basketball will set the area in motion with dance, stunts and baskets.

Opticians together with athletes will demonstrate on stage how contact lenses enable maximum freedom of movement and visual performance – whether Page 2/3 jumping, sprinting or turning. Interactive sessions, hands-on activities and spontaneous challenges actively engage the audience. In this way, TOMORROW VISION becomes a dynamic experience world in which expertise, sport and emotion merge into a powerful overall experience.

opti SPHEARE: Where Hearing Becomes Visible

In Hall C3, opti SPHEARE will celebrate its world premiere as a new experiential world for hearing care. Spanning more than 250 square metres, the format combines knowledge transfer, technological innovation and concrete market opportunities. The result is a holistic offering for optical retailers looking to expand or realign their portfolio.

Providers such as Actric, Bellman & Symfon, Meditrend, Netzwerk Hörgesundheit & terzo-Institut, Nuance Audio, Oton & Friends Hörakustiknetzwerk, Sinfona, Smart Optics Sensortechnik and Sound & Silence (in alphabetical order) will present solutions at opti SPHEARE that facilitate entry into hearing care and open up new revenue streams

The programme is structured into four fields: “Market & Future”, “Practice & Implementation”, “Customers & Sales”, and “Technology & Innovation”. These will be brought to life through a variety of formats – including keynote impulses by industry experts, best-practice examples from opticians and hearing care professionals working in hybrid businesses, as well as compact mini-panels featuring providers, exhibitors and specialist retailers.

Even though the programme is still being finalised, one thing is already certain: the man who will guide visitors through a programme well worth hearing is Michael Luikenga. When he is not hosting opti SPHEARE for three days straight at opti, this master hearing aid acoustician and optician, coach and trainer offers sales training and consulting seminars. Master in both, hearing care and optometry.. Planned topic clusters include “My Journey from Optician to Two-Sense Provider”, “Key Success Factors for Entering Hearing Care” and “Innovations Opticians Need to Know”.

“With TOMORROW VISION and opti SPHEARE, opti 2026 highlights two key future fields that will sustainably shape specialist retail. While TOMORROW VISION repositions the economic potential of contact lenses, opti SPHEARE opens up concrete perspectives for optical businesses in the field of hearing Page 3/3 care – two formats that powerfully combine innovation, growth and consulting excellence,” explains Cathleen Kabashi, Director opti.
