opti BOX AWARD 2026 - The springboard for visionaries

The opti BOX AWARD is one of the highlights of the trade fair and offers young labels from the frame sector a stage to put their innovative ideas in the spotlight - in front of an international audience of experts.

An expert jury will jointly honour the most outstanding design innovation of the year and turn the award into a real career springboard for start-ups.

The winners so far

MANTI MANTI (2025)

MANTI MANTI is a new independent eyewear brand for children: With the combination of good design, child-friendly function, sustainability and brand experience, children should not only buy beautiful, lightweight, flexible and comfortable glasses, but also really enjoy wearing them.

SKANS (2024)

In 2024, the young label SKANS won over the expert jury with its sustainable concept. SKANS not only impresses with the use of recycled metal in production without sacrificing functionality, but also commits to using 2% of its turnover for ecological and social initiatives.

LARS BRILLEN (2023)

LARS eyewear scored highly with 3D printed frames that focus not only on timelessness but also on sustainability.

The target group is people for whom consumption is more than a quick fulfilment of needs and who value quality over quantity.

Every LARS frame is made 100 per cent in Switzerland. By the time it reaches the customer, it has only travelled around 300 km on average.

LEINZ EYEWEAR (2022)

Beate Leinz is a passionate eyewear designer and was the radiant winner of the 1st opti BOX AWARD at opti 2022! LEINZ Eyewear combines contrasting components to create an unusual yet harmonious design.
