A successful start to the new year with opti 2023!

With just over 100 days to go, the optics industry can finally ring in the year as usual at opti. After a one-off special edition in May, the international trade show for optics & design will take place on its usual mid-January date from 13 to 15 January 2023, at the Fairground Munich. Three new webinars of the opti FORUM XT series will prepare you for the live show as from October.

opti 2023 set to start two weeks earlier

opti 2023 is to be held from 13 to 15 January. This means that the ophthalmic optics sector will be able to start the new year and lay the foundations for successful business deals at the Fairground Munich two weeks earlier than planned.

For three days, the primary emotion at the Fairground Munich was delight about the reunion. After the break due to the pandemic, the optics family had some catching up to do at the special edition of opti from 13 to 15 May 2022.

LEINZ Eyewear is the winner of the first opti BOX AWARD

Design, sustainability, functionality, technology and marketing, these were the criteria by which twelve young labels put themselves forward for the opti BOX AWARD. The winner of the award, which was granted for the first time at midday today at this year’s opti (13 to 15 May 2022), is LEINZ Contemporary Eyewear Berlin.

According to the report, the extraordinary event in May can hardly be surpassed in its symbolism – awakening, growth, joy, celebration. opti 2022: Prize-worthy independent design

A dozen young designers will be showing their new interpretation of spectacles at opti from 13 to 15 May 2022, and will thus be competing to win the first opti BOX AWARD. The criteria are design, sustainability, functionality, technology and marketing. The awards ceremony will take place live on site on Saturday at 12.30 pm in Hall C2 in the opti BOXES area.

The last two years also marked a boost to digitalisation in people’s private lives. Working from home and home schooling during the day, reading the news on smart phones or tablets and facetiming family and friends in the evenings. In these times of intensive use of mobile phones and similar devices, the subject of short-sightedness has become all the more important across all aspects of eye care. For this reason, myopia management is one of the key topics of the special opti show to be held at the Fairground Munich from 13 to 15 May 2022.
