GUDD-ZWECK UG - BRILLEN-OHNE-GRENZEN
BRILLEN-ohne-Grenzen collects used glasses and distributes them to people in need worldwide. The aid campaigns are organised in such a way that they involve as little effort as possible for the donor.
Rotary Club
At the ROTARY Club stand, everything revolves around vision, support and sustainable commitment.
Two projects take centre stage: BRILLEN-ohne-GRENZEN (Glasses Without Borders) with its “Glasses Rescue” initiative, and EDA (Development Service of German Opticians), which supports EDA optical workshops in developing countries.
The stand provides information about both projects and demonstrates how ROTARY Clubs can work together to help save and redistribute glasses, improve access to better vision, and support the establishment of optical workshops in less affluent countries.
Lions Club
At the LIONS Club stand, the focus is on two important charitable projects centred on vision and support.
Featured projects include BRILLEN-ohne-GRENZEN (Glasses Without Borders) with its “Glasses Rescue” initiative, as well as EDA (Development Service of German Opticians), which supports EDA optical workshops in developing countries.
Visitors will discover how LIONS Clubs support these projects and how, together, they can help give used glasses a meaningful second life while improving access to professional optical care for people in less affluent countries.
VEREIN FREUNDE NEPALS e.V.
Sight Bridgers
Sight Bridgers promotes sustainable eye care and works to prevent avoidable blindness in Africa, with a particular focus on Nigeria.
Its holistic approach combines education, eye tests and the provision of glasses with the training of local professionals and the establishment of regional care centres. In this way, sustainable structures are created that improve access to optometric care, including for people in rural and economically disadvantaged regions.
