BLOGGER SPECTACLE celebrates its premiere

Bloggers are opinion formers. They offer instant and authentic lifestyle information to their fan communities. In 2017, opti exhibitors will be able to profit from that for the first time. Ten companies have the opportunity to present their frames to fashion and eyewear bloggers at the fair – during the BLOGGER SPECTACLE on 28th January 2017. Furthermore, an international blogger jury will select the ‘Blogbuster 2017’. This newcomer prize will go to one of the 16 opti boxes.



The Vintage Fascination

“Vintage Passion” – this is the name of the new opti area. In hall C1 (!HOT area) you can find classics in the spotlight which transmit a certain zeitgeist since originals are still in high demand. The annual reunion of collectors from Europe, admirers, opticians and designers is accompanied by the daily talks at the opti forum, such as the daily vintage-summit or the daily “design icon meets design rookie” talk. But what does vintage actually mean? Which effects does this trend have on opticians and the industry? And why does retro make people happy? A design expert, a social psychologist...



Europe’s optometrists set their hope on Munich

opti has expanded its circle of exclusive trade show partners with further European associations. For example, ECOO (European Council of Optometry and Optics), ophthalmic optics associations from Switzerland and Denmark, as well as VDCO (German association for contact lens specialists and optometrists) will cooperate with opti in 2017. Last but not least, the long-term partners SPECTARIS (German industry association for optical, medical and mechatronic technologies) and ZVA (central association of opticians and optometrists) take part in this professional European network.



A view beyond the horizon of the industry

With the newly constructed trade show halls C5 and C6, a new chapter is beginning for opti 2019. It is therefore important to make decisions now and answer the following questions correctly: What will the line-up be like for the trade show, which future topics and specialist areas are important for the industry, and which emerging economic markets are supposed to be opened up? The future begins at opti

10 years of opti – 10 years of innovation. On January 11th 2008, the new era of opti began with GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH as the organiser of the trade show. For the 10th anniversary of the event in 2017, it is time to look at the products which made their debut and had their breakthrough in Munich.
